If you have 3+ hours to spare, consider visiting Yosemite Valley before heading home ($35 entrance fee, ~1 hour drive). The spring waterfalls are majestic, and no reservation is required to visit the park this weekend.
Directions to Yosemite Valley
Once you get to Highway 120 in Manteca this is a nice drive through orchards and small towns. About 5 minutes after getting on Highway 120 you'll pass a cute little farmer stand (Apple/Google) which is a fun stop to rest your legs.
When you get to Oakdale, stop at one of the gas stations after the train tracks to fill up before starting your journey into the foothills (and more expensive gas).
30-40 minutes from Rush Creek your GPS may tell you to use "Old Priest Grade Road" (which will turn-off from the main highway). Do not listen to it, especially when returning home (very steep and terrifying to save 5 minutes).

Not much cell service for last hour of drive, offline maps recommended
Instead of taking Highway 99, consider a scenic detour through Gold Country which only adds 20 minutes to your drive. This is our favorite route and follows Highways 16 and 49 to Highway 120. You'll drive through rolling hills, small towns, and past many landmarks.
When you get to Jamestown (or Stockton if taking 99), stop at one of the gas stations to fill up before starting your journey deeper into the foothills. Next best option is one of the gas stations in Groveland (30 minutes from Rush Creek).

The most common route is taking Highway 99 until you get to Merced, then exiting North to meetup with Highways 59, 132, and eventually 120. We'd recommend getting gas in Merced before your journey into the foothills (and more expensive gas).
Alternate scenic route is taking Highway 41 to Yosemite Valley, then exiting via Big Oak Flat Road to Highway 120. If you have a National Parks pass or don't mind paying the $35 entrance fee we'd highly recommend this route. Make sure to top off your gas in Oakhurst.

Whether you want to relax at a day spa, enjoy a massage, or something in between, the Rush Creek Spa is a great way to relax amidst the beauty of the forest just feet away.
Families are welcome during the morning (8-11am) and they have reduced twilight pricing (after 7pm) for an after dinner treat.
Spa Options
Rush Creek has 3 trails you can hike without getting in a car!
Nature Trail - 0.9 mile - A leisurely and picturesque stroll.
Vista Trail - 1.9 miles - More elevation, including a summit viewpoint of the Sierra (with benches!)
Adventure Trail - 2.5 miles - Great for mountain biking or those looking for slightly more challenging terrain.
We also love nearby Carlon Falls - A short 5 min drive takes you to this 2.9 mile moderate hike along a river to a waterfall in Yosemite!
We โค๏ธ Yosemite Valley during Spring Waterfalls and hope you get to enjoy it with your special people!!
Please be mindful that the valley is an hour drive from/to the lodge. If you choose to go on Saturday please budget extra time for your return and getting ready. The park can take longer to exit than enter in the morning and we'd hate to have you miss our ceremony.

Chris instantly knew Heidi was special, but played it cool by commenting on her Big Agnes tent ๐ฌ. We exchanged voice notes in the first 3 days, and had our first call 2 weeks later.
After waiting 3+ weeks, we had our first date at State of Mind in Los Altos. With a packed little league pizza party inside, we enjoyed a fun first date outside ๐ฅถ with drinks and took the pizza home.
After countless hours on the phone and an equally amazing second date (Dishdash in Sunnyvale), we decided to become official shortly before Christmas.
Wasting no time before Heidi's upcoming solo trip, Chris planned a weekend trip to Rush Creek Lodge to share with Heidi his favorite way to experience Yosemite in winter.
Before we matched, Heidi was already planning a bucket list solo trip to explore Vietnam and Oaxaca for 2 months. Chris got to tag along virtually during our nightly calls, getting to see Heidi's adventurous side ๐ต๐ง๐ปโโ๏ธ.
During an amazing but action-packed trip to Maui, Chris proposed to Heidi during sunrise on Haleakalฤ.
We're not asking for or expecting any gifts. ๐
Your presence at our wedding is the best gift we could ask for. We know it's a trek to come out to our destination wedding and we so appreciate everyone taking the time to celebrate with us!
However, if you feel so inclined to gift anything, there will be a designated gift & cards table at the reception. Please also know that for any cash gifts received, we'll be donating a portion of the total to the Yosemite Conservancy. ๐
